1. About these terms
sharedrive.ae is operated by Byroad Car Rentals L.L.C., trading as Share Drive ("ShareDrive", "we", "us"), 3 9a St, Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE.
By using this website you agree to these terms. They cover your use of the website only. Leasing, Lease to Own, subscription, rental and car sharing are governed by the signed agreement for that product. If these terms and your signed agreement differ, the signed agreement applies.
2. Prices and offers
- Prices on the website are indicative and exclude 5% VAT, which is added at signing. Insurance is shown separately unless the product says "all-in".
- Unless stated otherwise, Lease and Lease to Own prices are based on a 48-month term and 25,000 km a year. Each price shows the down payment it assumes (for example 20% down or no down payment).
- Every offer depends on an eligibility and credit check, document checks, vehicle availability, and final written confirmation. A price on the website is not an offer we are bound to until both sides sign the agreement.
- Zero or low down payment options are available on selected cars, subject to approval.
- Founding prices and other limited offers apply to the stated number of cars and period only, while stock lasts. The renewal price shown applies after the offer period.
- Images are representative. The actual vehicle, colour and specification may differ and are confirmed in your agreement.
- We correct obvious pricing or listing errors. If an error affects your request, we will contact you before anything is signed.
3. Lease to Own
Lease to Own is a lease. ShareDrive owns the car during the term. You have the option, not the obligation, to buy the car at the end of the lease for the purchase price set in your agreement.
4. Reservations
- Some offers can be reserved with an AED 500 reservation fee, paid offline by the method we give you. The website does not take payment.
- The reservation fee is fully refundable if your application is not approved or you decide not to go ahead before signing, and is credited towards your agreement if you do go ahead. Refunds are made within 14 days of your request, by the same method you paid.
5. Share & Earn (managed car sharing)
- Available only on eligible ShareDrive lease cars, subject to approval and to the terms of your Share & Earn agreement.
- You keep 70% of the rental income from shared bookings, as set out in that agreement. We handle delivery, collection and traffic fines for shared bookings.
- Income is not guaranteed. It depends on bookings, rates and availability.
6. Lease Transfer
You may transfer your own ShareDrive lease to another approved driver, subject to approval and the transfer conditions in your agreement. The transfer fee is AED 0. The incoming driver must pass our eligibility checks.
7. AI digital experts
The digital experts on the website are AI assistants. They give general information and help you shape a request. Their answers are not binding quotes or advice; your written quote and signed agreement set the final terms.
8. Using the website
You agree to give accurate information, and not to:
- give false information or apply using someone else's identity or documents
- misuse the site, try to access it without permission, or disrupt it
- copy or scrape content, prices or listings for commercial use without our written permission
9. Content and third-party links
The ShareDrive name, logo, content and design belong to us or our licensors. Links to third-party sites and listings are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it is error-free or uninterrupted, and we may change or suspend it at any time.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UAE consumer protection law, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Privacy
How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The latest version is always on this page with its date. Using the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the UAE as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The Dubai courts have jurisdiction.
